Our team has the right experience to handle all your fiber optic and excavation needs.
Here at Airo Splicing, LLC, we have over 63 years of combined experience in the fiber optic industry, so we have had plenty of time to become familiar with all its aspects. One of the best ways to protect your fiber optic network is to have it installed underground, which means that excavation is often a necessary part of the process. While not all fiber optic specialists can help with this part, our two owners can, as they hold general contractor licenses that enable them to make all the arrangements.
Our team at Airo Splicing, LLC is committed to maintaining the highest standards of excellence during every phase of the installation process, and for excavation, those standards also include safety. We understand that mistakes in the excavation process can lead to serious damage or injuries, so we make sure to secure all proper permits and to verify the locations of all existing power lines, etc. before we begin digging. This preparation and caution ensure our team will stay safe on the job, that we will avoid accidental damage, and that we’ll be able to get the job done as efficiently as possible.
What Happens During the Excavation Process?
Here at Airo Splicing, LLC, we want the best outcomes possible when we lay new fiber optic cable for your business. Before you can benefit from the increased speeds, reliability, and bandwidth of using a fiber optic system, our team will carefully prepare your site for installation, and a big part of this process includes excavation.
The purpose of excavation is to prepare the site for laying the actual fiber optic cable. In most cases, we choose to put the fiber optic cabling underground, and this involves excavating the area so there is a place for the cabling to go.
We prepare for excavation by identifying the best spot for the cabling. We will survey the area surrounding your site, looking for major obstacles that could delay the project. At this point, we also determine where all utility lines are, so we do not create an unsafe situation at your business.
After we understand the area where we will work, we place markers on the ground that indicate to our crews where they can dig. We bring in high-tech machinery and skilled crews who then dig underground and create trenches for the cabling. Our teams then lay the cabling and cover up the trenches again to preserve the safety and usability of the area.
We are committed to careful, thorough, and safe excavation practices to ensure setting up your location with fiber optic cabling is a beneficial project. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
